The Government and the Andalusian Regional Government have decided to postpone the State Tribute for the Adamuz (Córdoba) train accident, which was scheduled for Saturday, January 31st in Huelva. The agreement, reached this Sunday, January 25th, is a response to the inability of a large majority of the victims' families to attend, as well as the desire of many of them for the event to be held on a later date.
The decision was communicated by the Andalusian government in a statement sent to the media, which stated that the postponement aims to ensure the presence of the largest possible number of relatives of the deceased. Likewise, the regional Executive confirmed that the president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, will maintain his attendance at the funeral that will take place this Thursday, January 29, in Huelva, as planned.
The State Tribute was scheduled in Huelva, despite the accident occurring in the province of Córdoba, **due to the fact that a significant portion of the deceased were originally from the Huelva province.**
