The emblematic Spanish band Love of Lesbian has surprised its followers by announcing an indefinite hiatus after 25 years of uninterrupted activity, as confirmed by the group itself through a statement on social media.
The vocalist Santi Balmes explained that the time has come to “lower the curtain for a while” and take a deep rest after decades without pause on stage. The band has emphasized that it is not a definitive farewell, but rather a “long-term see you soon” in which they will reflect and recharge energies while listening to the silence that follows the noise of their career.

Before that break, Love of Lesbian will fulfill its 2026 concert schedule, which includes performances in Mexico, festivals such as Sonorama Ribera, SanSan or Noches del Botánico de Madrid and other dates in Spain, South America and Europe as part of their farewell tour.
In their emotional message, the band has used evocative images to explain their decision, stating that after so many years on the road and stages —“vans that became spaceships” and venues that were their “most faithful home”— they need a break, although without closing the door to a possible return in the future.
Love of Lesbian has consolidated itself as one of the most relevant bands of the Spanish pop and indie of recent decades, with a discography of more than 10 albums and an intense connection with their community of followers, who will experience this last stage of concerts as a celebration of their career before silence arrives.
