The Atresmedia Foundation and the Telefónica Foundation have signed a new framework collaboration agreement to strengthen their joint projects aimed at promoting digital awareness and education among children, adolescents, and young people, fostering critical, safe, and responsible use of technology in the online environment.
The agreement, signed at the headquarters of the audiovisual group by José Creuheras, president of Atresmedia and its foundation, and Enrique Goñi, president of Fundación Telefónica, updates a strategic alliance that both institutions have maintained for years around media and digital literacy and awareness of the challenges of the digital environment.
According to Creuheras, in a context where young people face risks such as cyberbullying, disinformation, loss of privacy or the inappropriate use of their personal data, it is essential to continue promoting initiatives that allow them to operate safely and consciously in the digital world. Goñi stressed that young people are “the present and future of society” and defended the need to accompany them so that they make informed decisions in the technological environment.
The agreement provides for collaboration in the design, execution, and dissemination of projects for digital awareness, training, and participation, as well as in events and spaces that foster critical thinking among young people on topics related to digital rights, educational innovation, and online coexistence.
For the third consecutive year, the alliance materializes in the project ‘MIL Effect’, an initiative that invites young people between 16 and 25 years old to create short videos for social networks about digital risks —such as fake news, hate speech, or dangerous viral challenges— with the aim of raising awareness among their peers and society in general. The call for this fifth edition is open until March 2, 2026.
Both foundations are part of the Digital Rights Observatory, a forum that brings together public and private entities to promote and protect citizens' rights in the digital environment.
