This Sunday February 15, 2026 the Atresplayer platform premieres its new original comedy ‘Rafaela and her crazy world’, one of the most anticipated fictions of the season, which will also be available outside of Spain through the international version of the service.

The series, created by Aníbal Gómez and based on his own book The Amazing World of Rafaella Mozarella, combines surreal humor with a pop aesthetic and references from the "chanante" universe, a peculiar and extravagant comedy hallmark. The production is carried out through the collaboration between Atresmedia and several production companies such as Estela Films, Pólvora Films, Boomerang TV, and Tenampa Films.

Starring Ingrid García-Jonsson in the role of Rafaela, the story follows the adventures of this teenager alongside her three friends —played by Carlos Areces, Aníbal Gómez and Joaquín Reyes— and her poodle in a world full of absurd situations. The rest of the cast includes Arturo Valls, Carmen Ruiz, Pepa Cortijo, Laura Weissmahrand Luis Callejo, with special appearances by other well-known names from Spanish entertainment.

With eight self-contained episodes of about 20 minutes each, the first season will show the unusual challenges of the protagonist and her environment, such as interactions with a time machine invented by her father or the desire to save the world before her adolescence ends.

Directed by Aníbal Gómez along with Ernesto Sevilla, the series also stands out for its original soundtrack composed by Enrique Borrajeros, which opts for a mix of eighties electronica and orchestral textures to reinforce the surreal tone of the fiction.

With this premiere, Atresplayer reinforces its commitment to innovative Spanish fiction, expanding a catalog that in 2025 already had millions of users and decades of its own productions available on demand.
