Antena 3 has begun the filming of the second season of What are you waiting for?, one of Atresplayer's most successful recent fictions. The series, based on the novels by Megan Maxwell, will return with new episodes after the great success its first installment achieved on the platform. The production became the most watched series of 2024 on Atresplayer, which prompted Atresmedia to bet on a new season that will expand the universe of the story and its characters.

The fiction is an erotic-romantic comedy that explores the contradictions of love and modern relationships through two couples who fall in love while dealing with the fear of commitment and the loss of independence.

The main cast is once again headed by Adriana Torrebejano, Rubén Cortada, Eva Ugarte and Francisco Ortiz, who will reprise their characters in this new stage of the series. In this new season, returning to the cast are Llum Barrera, Pastora Vega, Antonia San Juan, Manu Baqueiro and Anna Moliner, among others. Joining them as new additions are international actor Nico Furtado, Marta Guerras and Helena Ezquerro, expanding the series' cast.

In the second season, Can and Sonia enjoy a happy cohabitation in Ibiza, but a secret from Sonia's mother's past threatens their harmony. The unexpected appearance of Ibiza's father puts their relationship to the test, while Daryl and Carol face the challenges of parenthood and the birth of Joel. The arrival of Gabriel, Daryl's father, generates rivalries and surprises that will shake both families.

The second season will premiere first on Atresplayer before its broadcast on the Antena 3 prime time, following Atresmedia's usual strategy to boost its original fictions. With this new filming, the network reinforces its commitment to adaptations of great literary successes and to expand the catalog of national fiction both on television and on its streaming platform.
