The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, has defended the need to govern "for everyone" from moderation and balance, claiming the so-called "Andalusian way" as an effective political model. During his speech, he stressed that managing a community like Andalucía requires a clear roadmap and the constant search for consensus that allows progress.

In this regard, the also candidate of the Popular Party for re-election in the upcoming elections on May 17 has insisted on the importance of having governments “stable, solid and with management experience”. As he explained, in times of global uncertainty, “if turbulence comes, you have to have the best crew”, in reference to the need for political leadership prepared to face crises.

Moreno made these statements during the presentation of the Grupo Joly 2025 yearbook, where he highlighted the role of the media in a democracy. In his opinion, the relationship between political power, institutions, and the press must be based on “mutual vigilance”, although he acknowledged that it is not always simple.

During his intervention, he also warned about what he described as a “crisis of principles, of alliances and of leadership” at an international level, which is generating instability. In the national sphere, he criticized the lack of new general budgets, pointing out that Spain is going through a stage of uncertainty that contrasts, according to him, with the stability that Andalusia is experiencing.

The Andalusian president also emphasized the importance of rigorous journalism against the proliferation of hoaxes and disinformation. He defended that “more content is not needed, but better content,” highlighting the key role of the media to combat deception and strengthen social cohesion.

Finally, Moreno highlighted the evolution of Andalusia in recent years, describing it as a “thriving” community with greater weight and influence. According to him, the region has achieved advances in employment, tourism, and exports, in addition to positioning itself as a benchmark in renewable energies, betting on a more diversified economic model and adapted to the challenges of the future.
