Thousands of people have demonstrated this Sunday in Córdoba to denounce what they consider a "progressive deterioration of the public health system". The protest, which has marched along República Argentina avenue, has been marked by the constant sound of drums, bass drums, whistles and slogans chanted by the attendees.

The mobilization had been called by the movement White Tides throughout Andalusia, with the support of the unions CC.OO. and UGT, as well as political formations such as the PSOE and Por Andalucía. According to the organizers, the march gathered about 4,000 people, while the Local Police lowers the figure to around 3,200 participants.

During the protest, the protesters have demanded an increase in investment in public healthcare and have shown their rejection of what they describe as a process of commercialization of the health system.

To facilitate attendance, nearly 25 buses were organized coming from different municipalities of the province, among them Baena, Puente Genil, Aguilar de la Frontera, Fernán Núñez, Cabra and Doña Mencía.

Nevertheless, the call has registered a notably lower participation than that of previous similar mobilizations, reflecting a significant decrease in the influx of attendees.
