The spokesperson for the Vox Parliamentary Group in the Extremadura Assembly, Óscar Fernández, has assured that his party wants to reach “as soon as possible” a government agreement in the region, stressing that negotiations should be resolved as soon as possible to avoid prolonging the current political situation. He pointed out that “if it's tomorrow, much better than the day after”, in reference to the speed with which he believes the agreement should be finalized.
The Vox leader has defended that the objective is to achieve a pact that allows forming a stable Executive in Extremadura and begin to apply the measures that both formations can agree on. In his opinion, the citizenry expects the parties to act with responsibility and reach agreements that guarantee governability.
In this way, Fernández has explained that Vox maintains its willingness to continue negotiating with the PP to concretize the terms of the possible agreement. The party, he has indicated, is open to continuing the dialogue with the aim of advancing in a shared government program.
Likewise, he has insisted that the priority of his party is that the conversations develop quickly and with a will for understanding between both parties. For Vox, he has pointed out, it is important to avoid that the negotiations are unnecessarily prolonged.
