After more than 36 hours without Rodalies service in Catalonia due to the railway accident with one fatality in Gelida (Barcelona), the main train driver unions, Renfe, Adif, and the Catalan government have reached an agreement to resume train circulation, although the terms of the agreement and the exact date for the restoration of service have not yet been detailed

The conflict arose after the Catalan government announced that the service would resume on Thursday from early morning, but a large part of the drivers refused to return without written safety guarantees, which led to no trains running in Catalonia since then.

The meeting between unions, Adif, Renfe, and representatives of the Catalan government has taken place at Barcelona Sants Station and has been key to unblocking this strike. They have indicated that the parties are drafting the document with the relevant commitments from the Cercanías (commuter rail) service.

Throughout today, Rodalies service in Catalonia has remained suspended for the second consecutive day due to the protest by train drivers, who blocked the resumption planned by the Government. All of this has worsened traffic on alternative routes such as the AP-7 in Martorell, which was closed after the tragic accident.

The main objective now is to **ensure that trains return to normal operation as soon as possible**, addressing both the demands of the drivers and the affected users
