The writer, journalist, and communicator **Roberto Enríquez**, better known as **Bob Pop**, has confirmed that this Saturday he will present his **candidacy for the Barcelona en Comú (BComú) primaries** to run at the head of his party's list in the upcoming **municipal elections** in the Catalan capital
The presentation will take place at the Barceloneta Civic Center, where Bob Pop will unveil his political project to militants and supporters. His candidacy comes at a time when BComú is preparing to hold, for the first time since its founding, a primary election with two clear candidates, after deputy Gerardo Pisarello officially announced in December his intention to also compete for the mayoralty.
In a message posted on social media, Bob Pop invited citizens to support his candidacy with the slogan: “Bob Pop, mayor of Barcelona. Why not?”, encouraging those who share his vision to attend the event that will take place this Saturday.
The internal election in Barcelona en Comú will be the first test of strength to determine who will lead the party in the 2027 municipal elections. The party leadership has shown a certain preference for Gerardo Pisarello, former first secretary of the Congress of Deputies' Bureau and a close collaborator of former mayor Ada Colau.
