The progressive coalition government approved this Tuesday two royal decree-laws on housing to defend the interests and rights of citizens.
The measures approved in the Council of Ministers include protection against evictions extended until 2030; the regulation of seasonal rentals and rooms; the prohibition of the purchase by vulture funds until 2028 and the two-year extension of current contracts ending before December 31, 2028, among other issues.
Likewise, an agreement has been reached for the automatic renewal of rentals, which will be included in a second royal decree.
Due to the importance of these measures, the Government has requested the Congress to hold an extraordinary plenary session this Friday for the immediate validation of both decrees.
