The Military Emergencies Unit (UME) has activated an operation comprising 40 personnel and around fifteen vehicles to support the various emergency services working in Adamuz (Córdoba), following the railway accident that occurred this Sunday due to the derailment of two high-speed trains, which has now raised the death toll to 21.
According to the Ministry of Defense, as reported in a message disseminated on the social network X, "the UME is deploying from BIEM II in Morón de la Frontera to assist the services deployed in Adamuz, as a consequence of the railway accident. Our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and our wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured."
