The leader of the People's Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, will travel shortly to Adamuz (Córdoba), where he will visit the site of the train accident that has so far caused 39 deaths and 152 injuries, according to internal party sources. This visit comes after an emergency meeting at the PP's national headquarters to assess the situation.
During his stay in Córdoba, Feijóo will meet with the president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, with whom he has maintained permanent contact since the moment the incident became known, according to PP sources.
The initiative to travel to the scene of the tragedy reflects the party's active follow-up to one of the worst recent railway accidents in Spain's history, as emergency services continue to work to attend to the injured and manage the situation in the area.
