The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, launches two measures to improve early detection protocols for breast cancer. The so-called "Single Act", where mammography, ultrasound, and biopsy are performed on the same day; and the hiring of 500 new healthcare professionals for reinforcement, out of the total of 705 who are expected to join for all screenings of different types of cancer.

Women at high risk of breast cancer will be able to request the "single act" of screening in Andalusia starting this Monday. It is a measure that was already being carried out in some hospitals but that now the Junta de Andalucía makes mandatory within the action plan following the crisis due to failures in screenings. A crisis that has forced the review of 2,317 affected women. This situation has led to the promotion of two measures by the Andalusian government to improve the Andalusian Health System.
