The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has announced a new plan of aid for electric mobility aimed at self-employed workers and small businesses, with the objective of promoting the transition towards more sustainable vehicles.
The initiative is endowed with 40 million euros and contemplates subsidies of **up to 7,500 euros for both the purchase of ownership and the leasing of electric or electrified vehicles for companies with fewer than 10 employees.
The announcement was made at the closing of the National Industry Congress held in Bilbao, where Sánchez highlighted that this line of support is part of the Government's efforts to promote sustainable mobility and reinforce the competitiveness of small economic units.
The measure is added to other policies to boost the electrification of transport that the Executive has launched in recent months, such as the Plan Auto+, which includes aid for the purchase of electric cars with other lines of incentives for industry and demand, part of the roadmap for the modernization of the automotive sector
It is expected that these aids can facilitate the renewal of business vehicle fleets and support the adoption of technologies with lower environmental impact, contributing to the broader objective of the energy transition and emissions reduction in Spain.
