The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has mourned the death of actress Gemma Cuervo, who died this Saturday at the age of 91 in Madrid, as confirmed by her family. "Gemma Cuervo leaves us, one of the most beloved and endearing actresses in our country," the head of the Executive has expressed.
Sánchez has conveyed this message through a post on his X account, where he has also highlighted that "her work in theater, cinema, and television is part of Spain's cultural history". The president has also taken the opportunity to send his affection to the interpreter's family. "We will always remember you," he concluded in his message.

Throughout her career, Cuervo developed an extensive career in theater, film, and television that made her one of the most popular actresses among the Spanish public, especially for her role as Vicenta in the series Aquí no hay quien viva.
The actress's family announced her passing through a statement sent to the media: "With enormous sadness we announce the passing of our mother, the actress Gemma Cuervo, so loved and admired by all." Likewise, they informed that the wake will open this Sunday from 10:00 AM at the Tanatorio de la Paz, in Tres Cantos.
