The analyst Antón Losada has assessed in El Abierto of Hoy por Hoy the political situation derived from the case affecting José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, warning of its possible scope for the stability of the Executive.

Losada has been especially forceful in stating that this matter could have far-reaching consequences: “This is the meteorite that can indeed put an end to this legislature”, a phrase with which he underlines the political dimension that, in his opinion, the case is acquiring.

During his intervention, the analyst has insisted that partisan responses or political confrontation are not enough, rejecting the approach of “you more” and demanding a broader institutional reaction. In that sense, he has pointed out that “the Government is the one that has to take the first step and give many explanations”, even beyond Zapatero himself.

Losada has also shown his support for the possibility of holding a specific plenary session in the Congreso on this matter, an initiative proposed by Gabriel Rufián, considering that “it doesn't seem far-fetched to me at all”. In his analysis, he has argued that the situation demands a clear political response and has warned that the development of the case may mark a turning point in the current parliamentary scenario.
