The actress Carmen Machi has been awarded the National Film Award 2026, a recognition granted by the Ministry of Culture that distinguishes key figures in the Spanish audiovisual industry each year. The award, endowed with 30,000 euros, follows the one granted in 2025 to Eduard Fernández.

The jury highlighted Machi for her ability to succeed in both popular blockbuster projects and more authorial proposals, consolidating her as one of the most versatile and recognized performers on the national scene. In addition, it underscored her extensive career in film, theater, and television, with more than a hundred productions under her belt.
