Joaquín Oristrell, a renowned film and television screenwriter and producer, will be the godfather of Días de Cine this Saturday on La 2 of RTVE, a program that will review the most relevant releases and the latest gala of its XIII Días de Cine Awards. The broadcast, presented by Gerardo Sánchez, can be seen this Saturday, January 31st at 6:55 PM and will also be available on RTVE Play.
Oristrell, in addition to his extensive film and television career, is the co-screenwriter of La cena—one of the most talked-about and successful films of the past year—which reinforces the cinematic profile of this special edition of the program. Días de Cine will offer a review of the week's most notable premieres, such as Paco León's Aída y vuelta, the Taiwanese drama La chica zurda, Agnieszka Holland's biopic Frank Kafka, or José Ángel Alayón's La lucha, as well as features on international productions like Sam Raimi's Send Help or Marty Supreme, starring Timothée Chalamet.
The space will also include a summary of the recent Días de Cine Awards ceremony, held on January 27 at the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid, which recognized outstanding Spanish and international films and professionals. Among the awardees are productions such as Los domingos and Sorda, as well as several categories for actors and soundtracks, consolidating the event as one of the benchmarks of national cinema.
