The collaborator Marisa Martín-Blázquez has managed to recover her occupied home after almost two years of conflict in Torrelodones, focusing on the decisive role of the City Council. “It has been thanks to the mayor, not to justice,” she assured, highlighting the direct involvement of Almudena Negro in the resolution of the case.

According to her testimony, the situation was unblocked after making her complaint public on television, public along with her husband Antonio Montero. From then on, the mayor initiated direct mediation with the occupants, even offering them alternatives such as help with the move or access to social housing. Finally, it was the mayor herself who informed her that she could recover the keys, after the tenants handed them over.

However, the dwelling was in a very deteriorated state. The journalist denounces that the house was “extremely dirty” and with significant damage, including damaged furniture, unauthorized works, and floors affected by dampness, which will force her to make a significant investment to rehabilitate it. The conflict, furthermore, will continue in court, as she will claim both the amounts owed and the damages caused after a debt that amounts to around 30,000 euros.
