Rocío Jurado will once again move an entire generation with La más grande, the new documentary from Movistar Plus+ that will see the light next June 25 and that promises to become one of the television events of the year. The production will feature abundant unreleased material from the artist and, for the first time, will include fragments of a never-before-published autobiography of the Cadiz-born singer.
The documentary, directed by Alexis Morante, will offer a journey through the personal and professional life of Rocío Jurado from her childhood until the nineties. The actress Daniela Vega will be in charge of voicing the artist's most intimate texts, in which Jurado herself comes to recognize her insecurities: “I was a very insecure person. I believed that everyone was very good and that I was worth nothing”. In addition, the production has had the direct collaboration of Rocío Carrasco, facilitating access to never-before-seen videos, photographs, and performances.
Beyond the musical myth, La más grande will seek to show a modern, transgressive Rocío Jurado, ahead of her time, also reviewing her relationship with the press, her illness, and the enormous impact of her death in 2006. All of this wrapped in the indelible memory of an artist who turned every song into an emotional tear and whose figure continues to shine with the same force that illuminated Spanish music and television for decades.
