Prime Video has taken an important step in its television offering in Spain by incorporating RTVE's linear channels into its service. As of today, January 14, 2026, users with an Amazon Prime subscription can now watch La 1, La 2, Canal 24 H, Clan, and Teledeporte live without paying anything extra, directly from the platform's "Live TV" section.

The inclusion of these public channels —offering news, entertainment, sports, and children's programming— allows viewers to access Spanish public broadcasting within Prime Video, without needing to use other apps or switch services.

This measure is added to other Prime Video moves to strengthen its presence in the Spanish market, combining on-demand content with live broadcasts and expanding the value of the Prime subscription beyond the catalog of movies and series.

This once again highlights the growing trend towards greater convergence between traditional television and streaming, where video-on-demand platforms are no longer exclusively content repositories but are becoming integral entertainment hubs, including live broadcasts from public and private media in one place, simplifying the viewer experience and contributing to the continued transformation of how television is consumed.
