The Supreme Court has denied the request submitted by the defense of the former PSOE Organization Secretary, Santos Cerdán, to attend the preliminary hearing that was held this Thursday in the high court within the framework of the proceedings for the mask case, which affects former minister José Luis Ábalos and his former advisor in Transport, Koldo García. The decision was communicated by the Criminal Chamber through a document dated yesterday, Wednesday, but which became known todayOn Tuesday, the former Secretary of Organization of the PSOE, Santos Cerdán, made a decisive move and asked the Supreme Court to allow his defense to intervene today, Thursday, in the preliminary hearing prior to the trial against former minister José Luis Ábalos and his advisor Koldo García for the mask contracts, the start of which is being considered for just after Holy Week

In addition, the Supreme Court has reported this Thursday that the magistrate Susana Polo, with a more progressive profile, will finally occupy the position on the court to replace Vicente Magro, more conservative, who had previously been appointed to occupy the position of Ana Ferrer.

These last-minute changes recompose the composition of the judicial body that will deal with the case. Just 24 hours before the hearing, this Wednesday, the Superior communicated that Ferrer would cease to be part of the court that will try Ábalos and Koldo and that Magro would enter to replace him, a decision that, again, is altered again
