The revision of the Quarterly Regional Accounts has raised the growth of Andalucía by one tenth during the first quarter of 2026, placing it at 2.9% year-on-year. The data published by the Instituto de Estadística y Cartografía de Andalucía (IECA), place the community above the national average (2.7%) and well ahead of the growth recorded in the eurozone (0.3%).

The Junta de Andalucía has interpreted these results as a sign of the strength of the regional economy. The Minister of Economy, Finance and European Funds, Carolina España, has stated that the figures "once again confirm" that the community maintains "solid and differential growth compared to the main economies in our environment", and that "they respond largely to the policies promoted by the Andalusian Government to encourage investment in the community, reduce administrative obstacles, improve business competitiveness and offer institutional stability".

Likewise, the update from IECA improves the forecasts released last May thanks mainly to the performance of industry and a more favorable evolution of the external sector. Industrial activity closed the quarter with a growth of 5.5%, six tenths above the initial estimate and almost four points above the whole of Spain. Likewise, exports of goods and services went from a forecast of a 0.3% drop to a year-on-year increase of 0.9%.

Carolina España has argued that the Government of Juanma Moreno will maintain this line of economic policy, aimed at boosting productive investment, industrialization and the creation of quality employment, considering that the data "show that this path is yielding results". She has also stressed that "Andalucía is an economy that leads growth, that transmits confidence and that has become an attractive destination for investment thanks to our economic policies based on stability, rigor in management and permanent support for the productive fabric".
