The judge of the Court of First Instance of Montoro who is investigating actions on the railway network has requested Adif to clarify the circumstances in which the replacement of rails occurred on the section of Adamuz, in the province of Córdoba, within the framework of an investigation that is being analyzed by the Guardia Civil.
According to the information transferred to the procedure, the magistrate has required the public company to detail the work carried out, as well as the technical and administrative criteria that motivated the intervention at this specific point of the railway network. The request occurs while agents advance in the collection of documentation to clarify possible irregularities.
The investigation focuses on determining whether the action complied with current regulations and whether there were anomalies in the planning, awarding, or execution of the works. In this regard, the Civil Guard is gathering both technical and contractual information.
Adif, an entity dependent on the Ministry of Transport, is responsible for the management and maintenance of railway infrastructure in Spain, which places the case in an area of special institutional relevance. For the moment, no responsibilities have been specified, although the judicial request represents a further step in the clarification process.
