The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, has highlighted the transformation and potential of Almería, highlighting its “unstoppable projection” and advocating for advancing the opening of the historic center to the sea as one of the key axes of urban and economic development. During his speech, he assured that the city has “an enviable future” thanks to its strategic position and the investments underway.
Moreno has stressed that Almería is experiencing a moment of sustained growth and has defended the need to continue promoting projects that strengthen its connection with the coast. In this regard, he has pointed out that “opening the historic center to the sea” will allow for better integration of the city, revitalize its activity, and generate new opportunities linked to tourism and the local economy.
The Andalusian president has framed these actions within a broader urban modernization strategy, in which public space regeneration initiatives are combined with the promotion of infrastructures. As he has indicated, these actions seek to consolidate Almería as a benchmark in sustainable development and quality of life.
Likewise, Moreno has placed the accent on the role of institutional collaboration to make these projects a reality, highlighting the importance of coordination between administrations. “We are convinced that Almería can make a very important qualitative leap in the coming years,” he affirmed.
