This electoral campaign has had an important national reading. We saw how last Friday both Alberto Núñez Feijóo, president of the Partido Popular, went to support in Andalusia the current acting regional president, Juan Manuel Moreno Bonilla, we also saw Pedro Sánchez, president of the Government, who accompanied María Jesús Montero, candidate of the PSOE.

Furthermore, it is worth noting that, among other political leaders who traveled from Madrid, Santiago Abascal, leader of VOX, was with candidate Manuel Gavira.

And the truth is that during the Andalusian campaign we heard statements more typical of a government control session in the Congress of Deputies than of the electoral programs proposed by each party in Andalusia.

These weeks of campaigning have been marked by some tragic moments, such as the death of two civil guards in the line of duty during an operation against drug trafficking or the crisis in the management of breast cancer screenings. Situations on which PSOE, PP, VOX, Por Andalucía and Adelante Andalucía have commented.

When will we know who the next Andalusian president is?

More than six and a half million people will be able to exercise their right to vote today in the almost four thousand polling stations and points enabled for these elections, which will remain open from nine in the morning until eight in the evening.

Currently, the Presidency of the Junta is held in an acting capacity by Juanma Moreno, who will seek re-election with the intention of governing alone. However, if we look at Aragon or Extremadura, the PP has had to agree with VOX to form a regional executive.

In addition, María Jesús Montero, for the PSOE; Manuel Gavira, for VOX; Antonio Maíllo, for Por Andalucía; and José Ignacio García, for Adelante Andalucía will fight for the Presidency in these elections.

The Parliament of Andalusia has 109 deputies and 55 seats are required to form a government. Several weeks of negotiation between the different parliamentary forces may follow until the investiture of the new Andalusian president takes place, because in our electoral system winning elections is not always synonymous with governing.
