The Guàrdia Urbana of Lleida has arrested this Friday Dino Marcello Miller as the alleged perpetrator of a gunpoint robbery in a supermarket in the Pardinyes neighborhood, in Lleida, as ElConstitucional.es has been able to confirm.
The events occurred around four in the afternoon in a supermarket located on Baró de Maials street. The assailant broke into the premises armed, although he ultimately did not manage to take any money and no injuries were reported.
After the alert, police forces deployed an operation to locate the suspect. Approximately at 5:45 PM, agents of the Guàrdia Urbana of Lleida arrested Miller on Enric Pubill lo Parrano street, in the Balàfia neighborhood.
Dino Marcello Miller, 56 years old, has an extensive criminal record. Among his antecedents is the murder of former Lleida police officer Josep Gilart, who died two years after becoming quadriplegic after the attack. He was also convicted of killing an officer during a bank robbery and for another homicide in a Barcelona pub.
His name already generated concern in 2020 during a first release from prison, when he was categorized as a “high-risk” inmate. Just four months later, he was again arrested for two violent robberies in Lleida supermarkets.
Last April 16, he again left the Ponent Penitentiary Center, despite the fact that, according to various sources, he was not reintegrated and there were warnings about his high dangerousness. Now, authorities are investigating his alleged involvement in this new armed assault that occurred in the capital of Lleida.
