The political party Más Madrid has celebrated the voting of its primaries. In this regard, the Minister of Health, Mónica García, has consolidated herself as the candidate for the presidency of the Community of Madrid and, the group's spokesperson in the Madrid City Council, Rita Maestre, has emerged as the leader on the City Council's list. The participation of militants was 90.04% and in the same process carried out between July 4 and 6.
Thus, in the regional primaries, the candidacy led by García and Manuela Bergerot, under the slogan En Madrid hay partido (In Madrid there is a party), has achieved the support of 80% of the votes cast for the head of the lists, while the candidacy Más Madrid Abierto (More Madrid Open) has obtained 20%. As a result, of the 44 positions that make up the final list, 42 will be occupied by representatives of En Madrid hay partido and 2 by members of Más Madrid Abierto, in accordance with the system of open and unlocked lists applied using the Dowdall method.
In the municipal primaries of the City of Madrid, the candidacy Barrio a Barrio (Neighborhood by Neighborhood), headed by Rita Maestre and Daniel Ayuso, has received 81.2% of the support for the head of the lists. For its part, Más Madrid Abierto has reached 8.8% of the votes. Of the 28 positions submitted to election, 26 will correspond to Maestre's team and 2 to the Más Madrid Abierto candidacy, following the same distribution system.
The resulting lists will continue to incorporate new profiles from civil society and independent individuals in the coming months who will contribute to strengthening and expanding these political projects.
Likewise, this primary process has served to designate the municipal candidacies of another 21 city councils in the Community of Madrid, whose results can be consulted in the corresponding link.
