A Telemadrid panelist called Pedro Sánchez "punchable" during a debate hosted by Antonio Naranjo. She was talking about the voice of the Prime Minister, which she described as that of a "newly confessed altar boy," when she blurted out the expression. The scene, disseminated by the PSOE of Madrid, has provoked direct criticism of what is allowed to be said on Madrid's public television.
"Sorry for the word, he's punchable, I mean, I can't stand him," the collaborator stated. Naranjo responded, ironically, "They're going to kick you out of everywhere." She insisted that Sánchez's voice seemed like "an aggression" to her and that she felt bad listening to him. The host then added, "It's reprehensible, let's change the subject" and moved on to another topic. In that exchange, he did not ask her to retract the term.
The PSOE of Madrid has published the video accompanied by a protest. "Pedro Sánchez is 'punchable,' according to a Telemadrid panelist. And NO ONE says anything to her," the party wrote, rejecting that polarization is then presented as a symmetrical phenomenon. "The right is out of its mind," their message concludes.

The intervention occurred in 'El Análisis: Diario de la Noche', Antonio Naranjo's debate program on Telemadrid. Political criticism, however harsh, is part of a talk show. Calling the president "punchable" has another scope, and the reaction of the program's host is especially important when the conversation is broadcast on a public channel.
The video is circulating in the midst of the pre-campaign for the general elections on November 29, announced this week. The Madrid PSOE has chosen to disseminate the complete sequence, including Naranjo's response, to support its complaint about the tone of the television debate.
