The ultra agitator Vito Quiles goes to provoke the Sol encampment for housing and ends up expelled to the cry of "they shall not pass"

The ultra agitator Vito Quiles ended up outside Puerta del Sol after attempting to enter the encampment for the right to housing this Monday. The protesters responded to his presence with chants of "they shall not pass" and "fascists out of our neighborhoods", while the ultra agitator tried to advance through the square surrounded by several bodyguards.

Quiles arrived with a microphone and accompanied by his team to record content within a protest that maintains pressure on the Government after Maricarmen's eviction. His arrival was met with strong opposition from the campers, who surrounded the agitator and forced him to retreat towards Calle del Carmen.

The tension ended in pushes and physical confrontations between some protesters and the security members accompanying Quiles. The images released show one of the bodyguards confronting several people and trying to clear a path, while a camera from the 'EDA TV' team falls to the ground during the altercation.

The ultra agitator ended up leaving the area at full speed, escorted by Municipal Police officers. Participants celebrated his departure with anti-fascist slogans as Quiles and his team moved away from the encampment through one of the side streets of the square.

Shortly after, Quiles disseminated his own version of events on social media. He claimed that the Police had to evacuate him after receiving "aggressions and bottle throws" and accused the left of maintaining an "illegal" encampment. He also took advantage of the incident to attack the protesters with the comment that "as long as they don't have to go to work, they'll sign up for anything."

In another publication, Quiles reported that a camera was damaged and that several members of his security team suffered aggressions. The videos show the pushes, the fall of the equipment, and Quiles' escorted departure, although they are not enough to verify all the details later included in his account.

The scene occurred just hours after the campers also expelled the ultra Bertrand Ndongo from the square. The agitator left Sol pursued by protesters and carrying pepper spray, which a person took from his hand during the exit. Both had traveled there to film the participants and provoke a reaction with which to later feed their ultra channels.

The encampment has been set up since Saturday night, when some of the attendees of the "Not one more Maricarmen" demonstration decided to stay in Puerta del Sol. Participants demand protection against evictions, stable rental contracts, price limits, and the approval of the so-called 'Maricarmen decree'. Quiles was expelled from the square just six days after Congress definitively withdrew his accreditation for repeated serious infractions.
