The new budgets of the Generalitat Valenciana go ahead with the support of Vox including `the national priority´

This same Wednesday, the Generalitat's budgets for 2026 have been approved in the Plenary Session of Les Corts Valencianes, the third of this legislature and the first since Juanfran Pérez Llorca was elected president in replacement of Carlos Mazón eight months ago, thanks to the votes of the PP and Vox and the rejection of the PSPV-PSOE and Compromís.

This support from Vox has been differential, as in the previous public accounts of the legislature, to push through budgets that this time amount to 33,305 million euros, due to the fact that the 40 seats of the PP in the Valencian hemicycle are ten below the absolute majority, which it does achieve thanks to the 13 deputies that Vox adds.

During the parliamentary process, the Popular Party has approved all of Vox's amendments except one in which it requested to again reduce the budget of the Acadèmia Valenciana de la Llengua, thanks to which the 'national priority' in social aid or access to housing has been included in this law, and has rejected the 5,000 from the opposition.

In contrast, the approval of the budget law was received with applause from the parliamentarians of the Popular Party and Vox. They were the first to stand up after this, while the president of the Generalitat, Juanfran Pérez Llorca, approached to shake hands with the Vox spokesperson, José María Llanos, for the happiness of the approval of said law.
