FACUA-Consumidores en Acción has reported the online store Fachers, which sells products with far-right slogans and symbolism and is linked to the far-right extremist David Santos and the lawyer David Díaz Muñoz, for violating legislation on electronic commerce and data protection. This is the ninth website selling products with far-right messages that FACUA has reported in recent years, including names such as Alvise Pérez, Vito Quiles, or organizations like Hazte Oír.
The Fachers brand is registered in the name of Díaz at the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office and the store has been advertised by Santos on his social media. In the gallery of promotional photos on the website, the latter appears alongside Santiago Abascal and Javier Ortega-Smith. Díaz, furthermore, is the sole partner of Resistencia Digital SL, the company that owns the far-right digital outlet directed by Santos, La Bandera. David Santos was convicted in 2022 to one year in prison, special disqualification from the right to passive suffrage for the duration of the sentence, and a fine for preventing a representative of Unidas Podemos from voting in the 2019 general elections.
The website denounced by FACUA does not include the mandatory information about its managers, its registered office, and the ways to contact them. Thus, the Privacy Policy and Legal Notice sections appear empty, so that this data is not collected anywhere on the website. It only shows a contact phone number and an email address, insufficient elements for consumers to know which company owns it or the corresponding registration information.
