The deadline to apply for the 400-euro Youth Cultural Voucher is about to end. Young people born in 2008 and turning 18 in 2026 have until next October 31 to request this aid from the Ministry of Culture. The program seeks to facilitate young people's access to culture and allows them to spend the money on different cultural products and activities. According to data from the Ministry of Culture, as of October 15, more than 337,000 applications had been received throughout Spain.
One of the main novelties of this edition is that beneficiaries can use the voucher not only to consume culture but also to create it. For the first time, the 400 euros can be used to buy musical instruments, artistic materials, or pay for culture-related courses.
Who can apply for the 400-euro Youth Cultural Voucher and how to apply?
To receive this aid, it is necessary to turn 18 in 2026, that is, to have been born in 2008. Young people with Spanish nationality or legal residence in Spain can also apply, as well as asylum seekers, those with temporary protection, or foreign former wards who meet the established requirements.

The application must be made online through the official Youth Cultural Voucher website. The deadline ends on October 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m., so those who have not yet completed the process must do so before that date. To submit the application, it is necessary to identify oneself digitally using Cl@ve or a digital certificate. Young people who need it can also process it through a legally authorized adult representative, following the instructions on the official platform.
What can the 400 euros from the Cultural Voucher be spent on?
The money is delivered via a prepaid card and can only be used in establishments and businesses adhering to the program. Once the aid is granted, beneficiaries have one year to spend the 400 euros.
The bonus offers two modes of use. The first allows allocating the 400 euros to cultural courses and workshops, musical instruments, or materials for artistic creation. The second divides the money into three categories: up to 200 euros for cultural activities, such as cinema, concerts, theater, or museums; 100 euros for physical products, such as books, magazines, video games, or records; and another 100 euros for digital services, such as music, movie, reading, or press platforms.

The aid cannot be used for any purchase, but only for the products and services allowed in the program conditions and in affiliated establishments. Therefore, before making a purchase, it is advisable to check that the store accepts the Youth Cultural Voucher. With the deadline approaching, young people born in 2008 who wish to benefit from this aid must submit their application before October 31 to avoid being left out of the 2026 call.
