The director of 'ElPlural.com', Chema Garrido, has shown his support this Thursday for Sarah Santaolalla after the Provincial Court of Madrid agreed on precautionary measures against Vito Quiles. During his intervention on 'Noticias de Verdad', the journalist recalled that he has also suffered harassment from the ultra agitator.

"Vito Quiles has also come to the door of my work, he has come to the door of a parking lot where I finish work and have my vehicle to go home," he recounted. Garrido also explained that Quiles even recorded him inside private property spaces.

The director of 'ElPlural.com' believes that these actions are part of a strategy that seeks to strip legitimacy and respect from those who hold different positions. "This is not about thinking the same or differently, it's about dehumanizing the person in front of you," he warned before pointing out the effect this behavior can have among far-right followers.

The Court protects Santaolalla and keeps the investigation open

Section 29 of the Provincial Court of Madrid has prohibited the ultra agitator Vito Quiles from approaching within 500 meters of Sarah Santaolalla's home. The order also prevents him from communicating with her through calls or messages outside of encounters derived from both their professional activities.

The measures are provisional and will remain in force until the witnesses requested by Santaolalla's representation testify. The court has also revoked the provisional dismissal and ordered the investigation to continue to clarify whether the reported facts could constitute crimes of coercion or harassment.

The precautionary decision does not constitute a conviction or declare the facts proven, although the Court does appreciate a repetition of behaviors sufficient to establish an objective situation of risk. Santaolalla has celebrated the progress after what she described as "a real procedure, a real ordeal, and a real stalker".
