The director of 'ElConstitucional.es', Hugo Pereira, has warned that the Popular Party's rapprochement with the postulates of the far-right Vox has ceased to respond to isolated statements or decisions. In his opinion, Alberto Núñez Feijóo has turned this strategy into a habitual way of doing politics.

During his intervention in 'Noticias de Verdad', Pereira has maintained that the PP has decided to compete directly with Vox and continues to deepen "one of the biggest mistakes in the entire history of the Popular Party".
The journalist has compared this strategy with the PSOE's attempt to dispute the political ground with Podemos. The socialists ended up rectifying while the purple formation, also weakened by its internal conflicts, was reduced to a much smaller presence.
Pereira believes that a party with government aspirations loses its identity when it adopts the political framework of a populist party. "The only way to compete with Vox is by being Vox. And it seems that the Popular Party is doing just that," he concluded.
