The director of ElConstitucional.es, Hugo Pereira, has lashed out against the discourse of Vox and, in particular, against its leader, Santiago Abascal, whom he has accused of habitually making offensive statements. “To the weekly lies, absurdities, and insults of the far-right Vox, unfortunately, we are already accustomed,” he pointed out, stressing that these interventions are repeated “every week.”

The worst thing is that Feijóo -supported by a sector of the PP- is increasingly indistinguishable in forms and arguments from Abascal. That is what worries.

During his intervention on the program Mañaneros 360 of TVE, Pereira has focused on the Partido Popular, showing his concern for the evolution of part of the formation. “What saddens me most is seeing a sector of the Popular Party copying not only the arguments, but also the forms,” he affirmed.
The statements come in a context of growing political tension. In recent days, the leader of Vox has accused the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, of “spitting venom,” while the latter has responded by assuring that “his homeland is not Spain, it is his bank account.” Added to this climate is the clash with the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, who has gone so far as to call Sánchez a “bully” and of having a “very dangerous dictatorial tic” in Congress.
Pereira has also stressed that this criticism is not directed at the entire Popular Party, differentiating between internal currents. Specifically, he has pointed out that there is a “moderate” sector, represented by Juanma Moreno, who “is not with these forms by any means,” compared to another sector that, in his opinion, is indeed adopting the tone and style of Vox.
