The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, landed this Wednesday in New Delhi to participate in a summit on Artificial Intelligence and hold a meeting with the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. This is Sánchez's second visit to India. In that meeting, political and economic ties between both countries were strengthened, and it was agreed to celebrate this year the so-called Spain-India Dual Year on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of relations.
Sánchez will attend the inaugural dinner of the IV Summit on the Impact of Artificial Intelligence, where he intends to highlight Spain's talent in the Artificial Intelligence sector and will argue that the UN should play a relevant role in all matters relating to AI governance.
About twenty international leaders will attend the summit, including the French president, Emmanuel Macron, or the president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres.
