This Wednesday the president of the United States, Donald Trump, and the National Security Council of Iran have agreed to re-establish peace with a ceasefire in the war for two weeks. In this period the ayatollah regime and the American president are going to carry out the peace negotiations -starting this Friday- in the capital of Pakistan, Islamabad, relying on a 10-point plan that the Iranians have presented.
Nevertheless, Israel has refused to accept the pact between the United States and Iran because according to them, the plan does not include Lebanon, which is why it will not cease its attacks on the region. Thus, in the early hours of this Thursday, they carried out a wave of attacks that, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health and Civil Defense, these bombings have left at least 182 dead and 890 wounded, although the Civil Defense raises the toll to 254 dead and 1,100 wounded.
For its part, Iran has responded with new missile launches in the direction of Israeli territory, at least in several waves recorded by Israeli forces, and Donald Trump has already reacted through his social network where he has again launched threats against Iran.
“Ammunition, weaponry and anything else that is appropriate and necessary for the lethal pursuit and destruction of an enemy”, has begun and has pointed out: “Until the real agreement reached is fully complied with.” In the same way, he has demanded the opening of the Strait of Hormuz.
What does the ceasefire plan say?
The ten-point plan proposed by Iran to Donald Trump to achieve a ceasefire includes several key conditions. Firstly, Iran demands that both the United States and Israel completely stop their attacks against the country. Furthermore, it requests that the offensives directed against Iran's allies in the region.
Another of the points proposes that any transit through the Strait of Hormuz be carried out in a coordinated manner with the Iranian Army, with the aim of avoiding incidents and guaranteeing control of the area. Likewise, Iran calls for the total withdrawal of US troops deployed in the region.
The plan also addresses the economic aspect. Tehran demands the lifting of all sanctions imposed against the country, both the so-called primary and secondary sanctions. To this is added the request to eliminate the restrictions affecting its assets and properties abroad, so that they can be used normally again.
Finally, Iran requests that the resolutions approved by the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that are directed against Tehran be withdrawn.
The President of the United States has reacted to these latest events through his social network highlighting that it is “a great day for World Peace” and states: “This could be the Golden Age of the Middle East!”
