Feijóo assures that political regeneration in Spain goes hand in hand with Sánchez not being a "protagonist" after the 29N elections

Alberto Núñez Feijóo, leader of the PP and candidate for the Presidency of the Government, has attacked Pedro Sánchez, assuring that he should not have a leading role in the next legislature. "The regeneration our country needs involves trying to ensure that Sánchez is not a protagonist, not even in the opposition, in the next legislature," he stated in an interview with Onda Cero.

"What I seek here is to fulfill my duty; my commitment is to try to bring about a political change in Spain, a deep but calm political change. My commitment is that this stage of indecency and decadence ends," Feijóo added.

Only ten Sumar deputies repeat as candidates compared to 2023

Frente Amplio has presented its candidacies and only 10 deputies who obtained a seat with Sumar in 2023 are repeating on the lists for the November 29 elections. Ada Colau, Emilio Delgado, and Ernest Urtasun are emerging as the main headliners of the left-wing coalition.

Feijóo shields his pact with Vox and assures it would not have been possible without the PSOE-Broad Front alliance

Alberto Núñez Feijóo, leader and candidate of the Popular Party, has justified his pact with Vox and called it a “tactical agreement” to “try to maintain an absolute majority.” Furthermore, he assured that this deal came as a response to the “coalition of desperate people,” in reference to the alliance between Pedro Sánchez’s PSOE and the Broad Front.

Vox presents its demands to Feijóo's PP to replace Sánchez: "National priority", "reduction of the State" and a "brutal reduction of ministries"

Jorge Buxadé, head of the Vox delegation in the European Parliament, has revealed the hypothetical agreements he would seek with the Popular Party (PP) in case both formations achieve a majority after the general elections. Among these demands is the application of the concept of "national priority" and a "reduction of the State," accompanied by a "brutal reduction of ministries."

"Until now, the criterion being applied is that the last one to arrive takes it. And we understand that another criterion should be applied in the distribution of public goods which are, unfortunately, scarce," added the Vox leader.
