Spain celebrates in style being world champions with around two million euphoric people in the streets of Madrid

Yesterday, Monday, Spain and especially the city of Madrid experienced a day of great celebration and joy. The world champion players and coaching staff arrived in the capital to share the triumph with Spanish fans, who had been waiting for this moment for 16 years.

After being crowned world champions, the Spanish national team headed from New Jersey to Madrid, to arrive yesterday Monday at midday. With everything ready for their arrival, the national team's plane landed around 2:30 PM at Barajas airport, where coach Luis de la Fuente, captain Rodri, and the president of the Spanish Football Federation, Louzán, showed the champions' cup to everyone. After that, all the players came out, for whom a day of many emotions awaited.

Once in Madrid, in the afternoon, the entire squad went to the Palacio de la Zarzuela, where they were received by King Felipe VI and Letizia, along with Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía. Afterwards, they went to La Moncloa, to be received by the President of the Government Pedro Sánchez. And after the formalities with the president and the royal family, the Spanish national team started the parade from Moncloa to celebrate with the thousands of fans who were in the streets of Madrid.

The bus departed from Moncloa to Cibeles square, touring many of Madrid's emblematic areas. On said bus were all the national team players dancing and celebrating, as well as showing the trophy and interacting with Spanish fans. The bus route lasted a couple of hours, until the players finally arrived at Cibeles, where there was a stage for the final show.

The players entered the stage one by one, being presented in an epic way and each with a different song chosen by the player himself. The last player to come out was Rodri, with whom madness broke out upon his exit, as well as with coach Luis de la Fuente, who was tossed in the air by his team. With all the players present, the captain and coach said a few words and the musical performances began. Ana Mena and Lola Índigo sang and danced with the players, as did Aitana, who sang the song Superestrella, which has been heard throughout the World Cup. There was also a DJ moment for player Borja Iglesias, spinning various songs to celebrate.

It was a great celebration with a lot of dancing, a lot of jokes and great moments that will not be forgotten in life. In the streets of Madrid there were around two million people according to the Government Delegation, a tremendous and historic figure, demonstrating the country's strong soccer culture. Finally, the national team players said goodbye to their people to the rhythm of "champions, champions," chanted by all the people who were in a celebration that will go down in history.
