The Minimum Living Income has continued to expand its reach over the last year. The benefit reached 860,458 beneficiary households in June, a figure that represents a growth of 16.8% compared to the same period in 2025, according to the latest data released by the National Social Security Institute (INSS).
In total, the IMV has benefited more than 2.6 million people. The profile of those receiving the aid continues to be marked by the presence of minors. Close to 70% of households receiving the IMV, specifically 591,436 families, live with children or adolescents, and almost 145,000 are single-parent. Added to this is the Child Support Complement (CAPI), which in June reached 600,076 households with an average aid of 67.1 euros per minor and 122.3 euros per household.
Following these data, the Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Elma Saiz, highlighted the role of the benefit as a protection tool for families. "That minors live in seven out of ten beneficiary households reminds us that the Minimum Living Income is, above all, a benefit designed to protect families," she pointed out.
The benefit has maintained an average amount of 507 euros per household per month, while the payroll paid this month reached 465.7 million euros. Since its creation in 2020, the IMV has protected 3.7 million people, more than 1.6 million of them minors, according to the Social Security balance.
