The Disenso Foundation, linked to Santiago Abascal, has rectified information in which it was stated that the Civil Guard pointed to the general secretary of FACUA, Rubén Sánchez, as a member of a plot dedicated to harassment and the revelation of personal data on social networks. The correction occurs after a formal request for rectification by Sánchez himself.
In the new text published, it is recognized that the original headline did not correspond with the real content of the police report. According to the clarification, the Civil Guard does not consider Sánchez a member of any plot nor does it state that he participated in the dissemination of personal data, dismantling thus the main point of the initial news.
Sánchez also emphasizes in his rectification that he is not being investigated by Investigating Court number 6 of Tarragona nor by any other judicial body for crimes of revelation of secrets, threats or actions for ideological reasons, as was suggested in the original publication.
The origin of the case lies in a broader investigation into the dissemination of personal data on networks, following the complaint of a musician who claimed to have seen sensitive information exposed, such as his address or his license plate. However, the police report itself, as can be inferred from the rectification, does not attribute to Sánchez the authorship or participation in those events.
In his defense, the leader of FACUA explains that the contacts that appear in the report, such as the exchange of emails with an investigated official, are limited to sending links and already public content, related to profiles that, he maintains, spread hoaxes about him. In this sense, he insists that his activity falls within the scope of analysis and research with accessible information.
