The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has requested the judge of the Audiencia Nacional, José Luis Calama, to commission the Economic and Fiscal Crime Unit (UDEF) to produce an "exhaustive" report on the evolution of Plus Ultra's shareholding, with special attention to the entry of Venezuelan investors from 2017 onwards. The objective is to determine if these changes could have had any "eventual impact" on the company's situation when it requested the public aid granted in 2021.

In the letter sent to the magistrate, to which 'EFE' has had access, the case prosecutor, Elena Lorente, recalls that the airline was created on August 25, 2011, by Julio Martínez Sola and Fernando González Enfedaque. However, she emphasizes that years later the corporate structure underwent significant modifications with the incorporation of new shareholders and managers of Venezuelan origin.

The representative of the Public Prosecutor's Office points out that these movements were already recorded in a report prepared by the UDEF in 2025, when the investigation remained under secrecy. In her opinion, it is necessary to deepen the analysis of how this capital was incorporated and what was the evolution of the company's shareholding.

Therefore, Anti-Corruption considers that the investigation must clarify the scope of the entry of Venezuelan capital into Plus Ultra and evaluate whether it could have influenced the valuation of the airline when it submitted, on September 1, 2021, the request to access public aid, a matter that the Prosecutor's Office considers of special relevance for the development of the investigation.
