The judicial interrogation of Vito Quiles has left one of the most striking moments when the judge directly questioned him with a “Do you find it amusing?”, in reference to the tone used in public messages directed against Rubén Sánchez. The scene, disseminated on the YouTube channel of the journalist Javier Ruiz, shows an uncomfortable Quiles and without a clear answer to the magistrate's questions.
During his statement, Quiles tries to downplay expressions like “what's up, man?” or comments about having had to interrupt his vacation, assuring that he sees “no type of criminal interest” in them. However, the judge insists on the public nature of his statements and on the fact that these were not private conversations, but rather accusations openly launched.
The agitator also tries to defend that he did not directly impute crimes, but rather posed questions or announced future information. However, the content of the messages, in which he alluded to alleged “corrupt practices” or irregularities, is called into question during the interrogation, evidencing contradictions and lack of specificity in his accusations.
