Feijóo once again demands Sánchez's resignation and accuses him of hiding information about the Ceuta crisis: "He knew it and covered it up"

Alberto Núñez Feijóo has turned Pedro Sánchez's appearance on the migratory crisis in Ceuta into a harsh attack against the President of the Government. The leader of the PP has accused the Executive of knowing beforehand what could happen at the border and of hiding that information from the public: "You and your Government have lied to our faces all the time and you have done it again this morning in Congress. You knew it and you covered it up."

During his speech, Feijóo defended that the reports known in recent days, including the document prepared by the Police at the request of the National Court judge, point to an action by the Moroccan authorities. In his interpretation, "the operation came from Morocco, was consented to by Morocco, and there are indications that Morocco coordinated it and the Government consented to it."

Feijóo attacks Sánchez over his relationship with Morocco

The president of the PP has also brought up the Pegasus case and the espionage suffered by several members of the Government to question Sánchez's relationship with Morocco. "What document, conversation, or indication was on your phone for you to behave this way? Why are you afraid of Morocco? What does Morocco know about you?" he asked him from the rostrum.

Feijóo raised his tone by warning that no personal interest can be above the interests of the State and even stated that "Spain cannot have a president under blackmail." Furthermore, he reproached the Government for the way it communicated the summoning of the Moroccan ambassador, considering that it occurred without sufficient transparency and without calling the Spanish ambassador in Rabat for consultations.

Elections and possible judicial responsibilities

The popular leader has again demanded that Sánchez dissolve the Cortes and call elections. In his opinion, the Ceuta crisis could have both political and judicial consequences and he even pointed to the possibility that the investigation opened in the National Court could end up reaching the Supreme Court.

Feijóo believes that Sánchez is not in a position to continue leading the Executive or to guarantee the security of the State. Looking directly at the president, he warned him: "you will pay for it, before justice and at the polls."

Sánchez's holidays, another front of attack

The president of the PP has also used Sánchez's vacation during the crisis as an argument to question his management. "What is clear is that he wanted to go on vacation. And he went," he assured, before reproaching him that, after describing the situation as a threat against territorial integrity, he shared moments of his summer on social media.

"You diagnosed an attack against territorial integrity and immediately went off to share the soundtrack of your summer, on TikTok, with a chilling coldness.", he stated. And he again linked his criticism with the electoral request: "But if you want to continue on vacation, call elections."

The PP promises to go "all the way"

Feijóo had already hardened his discourse during the concentrations held this Wednesday in support of Ceuta. From Madrid, he assured that he had taken note that a Spanish city had been "invaded" and "occupied" with the knowledge of the Government and promised to clarify what happened during the massive entry.

"It will be known why Ceuta was invaded," "who consented to it" and "who promoted it," he then affirmed, before guaranteeing: "We are going to go all the way and everything will be known."

The popular leader has also recalled that the PP has appeared in the case opened in the Audiencia Nacional and has defended that his party will remain pending the investigation to access the documentation incorporated into the procedure. "Since we are a party, I hope that in the coming days we will have all those reports and have knowledge of that summary," he pointed out, claiming the actions of the popular party to "defend the dignity and territorial integrity of our country."
