The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has reacted to the new revelations incorporated into the summary of the 'Leire Díez case'. In a message published on the social network X, the popular leader assures that "each revelation is more shameful than the last" and maintains that those who came to power promising a clean Government "used it to set up a criminal organization".
Cada revelación es más vergonzante que la anterior.

Quienes pidieron el poder para un Gobierno limpio lo usaron para montar una organización criminal.

Feijóo's statements come after the summary known this Wednesday placed former socialist militant Leire Díez and former PSOE Organization Secretary, Santos Cerdán, at the center of an alleged operation aimed at obtaining sensitive information and acting on judicial investigations affecting the party, the Government, and the environment of President Pedro Sánchez. The investigation by the Civil Guard's Central Operative Unit (UCO) points to the existence of a network of contacts and intermediaries who would have tried to gather compromising data on investigators, prosecutors, and other people linked to various cases that involve the PSOE.
Among the elements incorporated into the case is the discovery of nearly 20,000 euros in cash during a search at the home of former socialist leader Gaspar Zarrías. The summary also includes references to Carmen Pano, who allegedly requested a monthly allowance of 2,500 euros and the payment of her daughter's wedding in exchange for denying an alleged delivery of money to the PSOE. Likewise, the proceedings mention lawyer Leticia de la Hoz, who denied having offered economic compensation to Pano to keep silent about these facts.
In view of this information, Feijóo considers that the Executive's situation is increasingly compromised. "The judicial defense of this Government will certainly be difficult, but its political defense is already impossible," says the president of the PP, who again demands explanations from the Government and the PSOE after the publication of the new proceedings.
