This Thursday, the ERC spokesperson in Congress, Gabriel Rufián, and the Podemos MEP Irene Montero, are going to carry out the event 'What must be done?', moderated by Xavier Domènech. They will sit at Pompeu Fabra University to debate about the organization of the left to stop the rise of the right and far-right.
The meeting aims to discuss what already began to be analyzed in the conversation in Madrid held by Rufián and the Más Madrid parliamentarian, Emilio Delgado, under the motto "Dispute the present to win the future". In it, the ERC member expressed: "What sense does it make for 14 lefts, defending the same thing, to compete among themselves to divide the votes of the left."
"I don't ask anyone to give up their acronyms, I ask for order, efficiency, and method, I want to win province by province against Vox, seat by seat," he explained at the start of his speech. "If we don't agree, we're going to hell," he warned.
Irene Montero when the realization of this talk was announced assured that "we have to give certainties to left-wing people". "There is a game that has to be played to lower rental prices (...) advance in feminist laws (...) stop the right and far-right," she defended. Likewise, she pointed out that "teaming up with Gabriel Rufián" seemed "a very good idea".
