Gamarra criticizes the Government's management in Ceuta and asks to prevent it from becoming "a large CETI": "Answers are needed and the way is the return to Morocco"

Cuca Gamarra, vicesecretary of Institutional Regeneration of the PP, has asked Marlaska to explain in his appearance in Congress "how many expulsion orders have already been processed and are already being put into practice", since "that is what the people of Ceuta and all Spaniards need to see, and not how Ceuta becomes a large CETI". She also criticized that "there are still not enough means to process all the files from immigration", in relation to the thousands of migrants returning to their country of origin, and points to Marlaska for this: "Today he began his statement speaking of 5,000 people, but the residents clearly say that there are more and all of us who have been there know that there are many more".

In the same vein, she continued expressing her position saying that, "what is needed are answers, agility and there is only one way, and that is the return to Morocco. Only that is possible when what has occurred is an invasion, it cannot be called otherwise, in a city that is 18 square kilometers and has a population of 85,000 inhabitants," explains Gamarra.

Also, she wanted to defend the people of Ceuta, pointing to the Government for accusing the people of Ceuta of being violent or racist. "We have to be careful because there are already certain movements, even within the Government itself, that have labeled the people of Ceuta as racist and xenophobic, and now they want to label them as a violent people," replies the vicesecretary. On this issue, she did not stop there, and added that, "the pressure is unbearable. Nobody justifies any act of violence, they are the first. But we have to be very aware, and especially the Government, that the tension to which they are subjected is, in part, due to the incapacity and inefficiency of this Government."

After this, she continued her criticism of the Sánchez Government, focusing on the Minister of Health and her Ministry, saying: "What the Government of Pedro Sánchez is doing wrong is thinking that Spaniards are people who keep quiet and that, as the Minister of Health has done with health workers, threatening is effective," she commented. Following the same path, she added: "The only thing that has worried the Minister of Health is that they would not speak ill of her and her Ministry. What she wants is to provoke and point out health doctors in Ceuta," she emphatically highlights.

She also remembers Félix Bolaños

Gamarra has not forgotten Bolaños, and has reproached him for his lack of response in Congress: "We have seen messages from two ministers of the Government of Morocco, the Minister of Justice and the Minister of Religious Affairs, claiming sovereignty over Ceuta and Melilla. Yesterday, the Minister of Justice, who is also Minister of Religious Affairs in our country, did not want to refute those statements," she emphasizes. She also demands "that the collaboration with Morocco be seen" and that "the Government put all means at its disposal."

Finally, she wanted to offer a solution, indicating that the only way to improve the situation in the autonomous city, "is speed, agility and effective and efficient diplomacy so that this return and departure of all Moroccans who entered illegally is immediate," concludes the deputy secretary.
