Junts per Catalunya has confirmed that it will vote in favor of the validation of the anti-crisis decree promoted by the Government of Pedro Sánchez, although it has sent a warning message to the Executive by assuring that no prior negotiation has existed. The vote takes place this March 26 in the early afternoon in the Congress of Deputies.
From the formation led by Carles Puigdemont they underline that their support does not imply a change in their relationship with the PSOE, insisting that no political agreement has been reached to move the measure forward. “There has been no negotiation,” stress party sources, making it clear that the support responds to a unilateral decision.
The anti-crisis decree includes economic measures aimed at alleviating the impact of rising energy prices and inflation, in a context of pressure on prices and consumption. The validation depends on a tight parliamentary arithmetic, in which the support of groups like Junts is key for the Government. In parallel, the Popular Party maintains uncertainty about its position, as it has not yet clarified whether it will vote in favor or against the decree.
